I didn't see what you wrote Turt, I've been reinstalling windows and the 130+ programmes that I had installed, so I've not seen much over the last 24-48 hours or so. I can't imagine any of the alternatives are going to support my 3DConnexion controller though. I'll get the Zmodeler trial going, and see what it's like. I'm guessing they never materialised, or I suppose people would be using those instead. I read somewhere about some proposed official SCS Blender Tools, but I think that was from an article dated from 2013. So they're usually technically very good, but awful to use. I'm generally wary of *free* creation tools, because they are often, written by a programmer who doesn't fully understand how a creative person likes to interface with a programme. Sometimes, the tool that does the job, costs money, and I can live with that. and then I've got my Spectrasonics Omnisphere. I paid close to £700 for Adobe CS3 and a fair amount for the Sunburn lighting engine when I was doing some XNA stuff. I'm sure it said something around the $22 mark. But given the availability of information on other parts of the game data, it does seem a little odd.ĭoesn't seem too expensive though for a licence, especially in comparison to some of the software I already have on my machine. a bulk of short-term licenses on an overal price compared to summary long-term. Don't know if that's to maintain the ZModeler exclusivity or not, not sure. ZModeler 3 discussion ZModeler3 Account and Licenses ZModeler3. It also looks like the info about the prefabs is a bit thin on the ground.

I'm too old to be learning another language though, and my head's full of enough already. It's either that or I learn to code in Python and try to decipher the prefab files to create the same functionality in Blender. I have some ideas in my head that are going to require the building of prefabs, so that might be my better option anyway. To be honest, Zmodeler 3 is looking tempting, because of the prefab editing facility.
